Re: Kebab Change Issue
Consider this an official warning against referring to the Khalifate as "kebabs".

Re: Betting with Cryptocurrencies
Real money is enough of a hassle. Wesnoth doesn't need to get mixed up with Canadian Tire money, Monopoly Money, or Bitcoins.

Re: The Grand Tag! 2v2 Tournament - 4th edition (Round 1)
Just a reminder that if this thread can't be kept civil, you'll all be facing a higher authority.
Some of us are already not fond of super-competitive stuff like this because it attracts exactly the kind of behavior we're seeing here. Prove us wrong, please.

Re: Separate MP from SP
This is already how things are done. There just aren't many campaigns that take it very far. Nothing in single player is being held back or restricted for the sake of multiplayer balance. If there are any punches pulled, it's for the sake of simplicity and consistency. Remember that KISS runs throug...

Re: People of the Green Isle
I also hope that this thread can be more productive than the last. :) "You must recall that the route from both the western and the southern continents - from which our oldest forefathers are said to have come - to our Green Isle was perilous at the best of times — so perilous that a stable tra...

Re: People of color in Wesnoth
No need to create alternative portraits somewhere, where it doesn't even make sense So... white humans make sense. Non-white humans don't make sense. Got it. But to replace some perfectly good portraits just because of political correctness? The portraits in question have not been drawn yet - white...

IF YOU WANT TO REDRAW THE SPRITES JUST SO THAT US NOT SO PALE KIDS DON'T FEEL LEFT OUT, I FIND THAT ANNOYING. Why do you find it annoying? And while I doubt you're entirely alone, you are one of the first people I've talked to who isn't totally fed up with the ridiculous under-representation of peo...

Re: People of color in Wesnoth
I personally would be offended by having "people of colour" included purely for the sake of somebody somewhere showing off how pollitically correct they can be. There are several reasons for doing this and "showing off how politically correct they can be" isn't one of them. If t...

Re: People of color in Wesnoth
I think most people get that the medival fantasy genre is based on middle ages Europe, aka white people ( Spain/Portugal being the *kind of* exeption). I've already addressed this twice now in this thread. I disagree with the name "Khalifate" however as it is still too attached to modern ...

Re: People of color in Wesnoth
It seems, to me at least, that it would be worse to just throw a few non-white people in and call it "inclusiveness" than to leave it the way it is now. Okay, thanks for elaborating. It's not worse. if no visible effort — to expand upon them This is some visible effort. As opposed to noth...

Re: PoC in Wesnoth
Because if there isn't going to be some kind of actual effort to expand on this, then its becoming less of an "inclusiveness" thing and more of a "here's a token minority, now stop complaining" thing. I hope nobody here would ever be uncouth enough to respond to that manner of c...

Re: PoC in Wesnoth
For now, the latter, as to have minimal impact. They don't necessarily need to all be black either. Hence my use of the phrase "people of color".
Hopefully having them inspires some explanation from writers and fans. Our campaigns are selected from high quality user content, after all.
