Well, I was anxious to continue w/ this campaign, so I edited the scenario file and somehow managed to change it so that I can control both elvish factions That did the trick -- I'm through and continued the campaign... now I'm at the Elves' Last Stand scenario.
Kobayashi Maru anyone?

In the notes above, you say that by turn 3, Kaelenz can recruit scouts -- I'm not seeing that option in 1.9.6.

Another simple idea that would help: expand the forts/recruitment areas that Kaelenz and his archer friend get, to be on par with the huge fortress that the enemy in the NW corner gets. It would help to recall/recruit a bunch of units all at once, rather than spreading it out for 3 turns. With the n...

I've posted a reply at the forum thread for the latest version of the game/scenario, here: http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php ... 85#p488885. I can't get past this scenario and I'd appreciate any advice you can offer.

(1) What difficulty levels and what version of Wesnoth have you played the scenario on? hardest - 1.9.6 (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) 10 - impossible! (3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives? Clear enough, but the first time I played the scenario I expected it to end...
