Re: The Reign of the Lords

Can You Edit The Saurians so there are no swear words in there :| The closest thing to this I could find in the unit descriptions was "Saurians, though seemingly stupid, are in fact capable intellegent (intelligent) creatures." The whole point for the majority of these descriptions is sta...

Re: Skeletal dragon portrait

I changed a few things that were suggested. I changed the position of the wings so it better fits each render and I brightened up parts of it too. I tried changing how harsh the shadow was on the spine but it didn't look that good. Coincidentally. changing the position of the wings fixed the issue w...

Re: Skeletal dragon portrait

I added a few highlights in the spine, ribs, and jaw and changed the shape of the horns. Personally I like how they were before, but this is fine. I've kept the glow one here just incase someone needs it for an add-on sometime in the future or something along that path. I could add a few more scratc...

Re: Skeletal dragon portrait

Thanks!
For more context, this is what they look like in game. Although I don't believe there is a campaign where the skeletal dragon even speaks, but the unit is used in the Eastern Invasion campaign and The Wilderlands multiplayer scenario. I don't remember it being used anywhere else.

Re: Skeletal dragon portrait

I'm not sure if I like this one over the glowless portrait, but here it is. Not sure what else I should add if anything at all.

Re: Skeletal dragon portrait

I changed a few things, such as a few extra scratches in some areas and the dead skin. It didn't look quite right in some areas, and felt like it took away from the overall portrait. I adjusted the colour of the teeth as well to make it stand out more and so it looks a bit less like bone. As for the...

LordLewis' Portraits: 3D Art WIP

I've changed the name for this discussion to match the future stuff I plan on doing. As for now I've started work on the chocobone portrait and it's heavily work in progress (bones and stuff take a very long time to model or sculpt). I'm not exactly sure what to do armour wise. I might change some o...

Re: Skeletal dragon portrait

Speaking of which, I think I'll give the Chocobone and Wyvern/Wyvern Rider a shot, and maybe the boats if I can manage to model one. Not sure how well I'll do with something not boney and dead, but we'll see. The more portraits there are in that style, the more they'll fit in. I've already got a pre...

Re: Skeletal dragon portrait

Here's another update. Skeleton Dragon33.png skeletal-dragon-ingame.PNG I did test what it looked like ingame with the 32 portrait and it was a little too dark, so I increased the frequency of the lighter colours. I dimmed out the overall light and added another light around its head, giving the hea...

Re: Skeletal dragon portrait

Here's an update on the portrait so far. Skeleton Dragon31.png Skeleton Dragon32.png I added a few more long scratches to the horns and added a few pieces of green here and there, some more subtle than other. I also positioned the spine a little better so it's turning with the head in a more natural...

Re: Skeletal dragon portrait

Thanks again. I tried messing around with a few of the colour levels and nothing really seemed to work, outside of the shadow colours though, which I've changed slightly so it's less dull. I also added a few more scratches. Skeleton Dragon23.png This portrait here is 500x500 pixels and I can always ...

Re: Skeletal dragon portrait

Thanks for the feedback. I do think the proportions are fine the way they are now in my opinion. I didn't use dinosaur skeletons as my main reference, but rather decent sized lizards, such as bearded dragons, but I'll keep this in mind in case I want to make any changes to the model directly. I rete...

Re: Skeletal dragon portrait

Here's an update of the portrait. Skeleton Dragon10Pea.png I haven't posted anything for a while so I'm sure I've missed a lot. I still wanted to make a portrait for the skeletal dragon that could be used in game. I'm happy with what I've done so far, but it doesn't exactly fit in with the art style...

Re: Elvish Interception - 1.15.7+ campaign by Lordlewis

I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who has submitted some feedback to my campaign this far. I will probably make some more adjustments to the difficulty to certain levels, mainly the first one. I have released an updated version to add-on server that contains minor bug fixes and map changes ...
