Re: 09 - Bounty Hunters
More of a bug report, but I've filled out the whole thing now that im at it. (1) What difficulty levels and what version of Wesnoth have you played the scenario on? - 1.14.9, Normal difficulty (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) - 2. they managed to kill a few of my units, but in the...

more scenario endings? [endlevel]
Hey there! I was wondering if it was possible to create more scenario endings then victory and defeat. I know [endlevel] result= only accepts those two, but im more interested in making the textbox say something different, like "retreat" and then be able to move on to the next scenario in ...

Re: Scenario testing and feedback
hehe thx! Did you actually beat it or did you just analyse my map? The thing with the choke points is quite annoying, I agree. I also found that if you use one, it can become impossible to work your way through the orcish horde, which is why I made them wider then they were originally. As for recrui...

Re: formations in BfW
Your assassination squads do not include Assassins? :P They sound really cool though, never tried that before. Thx for recomending imgur, But i found out I apparently can attach files! here! on this forum :P feel free to include pics if your formations have any specific setup (otherwise, its technic...

Scenario testing and feedback
Hey everyone, so, I made a little something that should "work". Now Im just asking if some of you more veteran players will give it a go. Basically, I wanted to make a Tolkin-style battle, where its impossible to win without reinforcements (think the battle of Helm's deep). Now, It would j...

Re: formations in BfW
well, it all depends on the enemy. if he has enough units in range to kill the peasant and move another guy into that position, its just a sacrifice, right?

Re: formations in BfW
nope, thats photobucket screwing me over for a profit. Gonna fix that when I find out how. I presume you can see The weakest line formation, as that was uploaded to this topic directly?

Re: Descent into darkness: oversight?
I'll have to make an addition here. Playing DM, there was something called the Ford of parthyn. So the Ford of abez is only the easternmost point where you can cross into wesnoth, I'd suppose.

Re: formations in BfW
Aye, Pushing in a "blob" is indeed a fine strategy when the goal is to kill the enemy leader, although you will probably end up with more casualties. I was playing EI-undead crossing the other day, and decided this was a good time to test that Anti-undead formation myself. Admittedly, ther...

Re: Descent into darkness: oversight?
The town of parthyn is not within wesnoth, but an eastmark frontier town. While i guess it technically falls within the law of wesnoth, It does not usually get protected by it. As for your explanation about the ebb and flow of the great river, the town always get raided as the mountainpasses melt, m...

Re: formations in BfW
I never intended these tactics to be used with mods. While I see your point, I feel that I should point out that "You get surrounded, your units are being used inefficiently, you ignore terrain defense and so on" are all faults by the player, not bound to happen due to formations. I also f...

Re: Descent into darkness: oversight?
completely logical solution, if the devs agree and the wiki gets updated. There are several things on that page that are broken anyhow.

Re: formations in BfW
thank you sapient, Ill have your formation included in the OP, as I think new players could benefit greatly from such a formation. Thank you as well, Poison. From what I can gather from your response, your formations are actually a mix of units? I suppose they are put together ad hoc and not planned...

Re: formations in BfW
well, I had my doubts as well elder, But find me a board that fits this topic better and ill try and have it moved there. remember though that it is not about a formation-specific campaign, but the decision between using formations vs controling every unit by itself. formations and such are actually...
