Re: Horrible graphic bug
I think I had a similar bug in the past. Not sure how I resolved it, but I think it may often also depend on other software you may be using, e. g. mesa, xorg-server version and what not. Some of the software you use is quite old now, such as your cairo release. Also you seem to have multiple versio...

Re: Add new gamemode!!!
The invincibles offers quite large maps. I do, however had, also have noticed that large maps can cause the game to slow down, especially on older hardware. So I guess there is a limit as to how big a map can be? Would be fun to know how big a map can be. :D I also think playing on large maps, aside...

Re: tagging the units for quick reference oh who's who. lol
I think we can name or tag-flag units; I rarely have a need to do so though. Not sure if this can be done visually. Would be nice if the UI could allow for that flexibility. It's probably not one of the most important parts to be had for the game though. I wonder if the rewrite could offer that (not...

Using AI for music generation in Wesnoth?
So, some other projects already use AI, for instance, Baldur's Gate 2 EE (if anyone remembers that), the crucible mod uses AI for NPC speeches rather than real human voice. Now AI generated voice isn't quite as good as a real voice, granted, but I think for people who lack time - and skills - etc......

Re: Drama Drama :)
That was probably one of the most confusing intros I have ever read. Nonetheless welcome. In regards to discord: I am of the ancient generation now, having used IRC (mIRC) in the 1990s. It was great back then, but it also took away a lot of time - time which I no longer have. IMO using just the webf...

Re: Healing Terrains
12 pro votes 0 con votes so far. I like the healing mechanic so I am all up for (conservative) extensions including the visual aspects. From the above I think something like "hot springs" would be nice, or perhaps more generally terrain that would be similar to that effect - a bit like a v...

Re: To share Wesnoth features and code with others
Personally I found WML a bit difficult to use. Lua may be an option for some, but I don't think I will learn lua merely for using it in wesnoth. What would be kind of cool would be ... two things: 1) the whole GUI building of campaigns could be enabled within wesnoth. We already have a scenario edit...

Re: [engine] add a "halos" ability so that the unit benefits from a second halo when conditions are matched
I also admit that I am not entirely sure what was proposed here. What also confuses the hell out of me is ... that it seems numbered, e. g. 1, and 3 ... but I can not find point 2! :( All I know is that this has something to do with the halo. Not sure what was suggested to be modified. I love the he...

Re: Self healing for Healers
Perhaps a new ability could be useful here? So not all healers get "better rest" or "meditation" or something, but if a campaign author thinks it would be nice to have for some units then this could become possible too. And it would only be used if the healer is not moving and no...

Re: deleted dont care about all the problems of this game anymore
Someone is a bit moody (the threadstarter).
Oddly enough I noticed this delete-written-stuff habit in other webforums too. No
clue why, but I always felt it would be unfair to other users if what they replied
to gets removed - especially after months of having been there.

In response to y needmoreplayers: The general overview actually mentions that: > Discuss the development of other free/open-source games, as well as other games in general. So people can discuss other things here. If some feel to do promo to other open source games then this should be perfectly fine...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I haven't played LotI in a few months (or any other campaign actually). Are there plans to
extend the content or spin off more storylines or tales from it? Or has that happened? Or
any other noticable changes worthy of mention?

Re: What you hate/dislike the most in user-made campaigns? (Ignoring bugs)
Hmm. I don't have any real hate. A few things could perhaps be improved in general, be it the UI (some campaigns do add-ons, but these are more of an after-thought); other campaigns are a bit long and then some parts of it are no fun, whereas later parts are fun again. I think if I'd pick just one p...
