Re: Portrait sketches

A painted armor would be very realistic here is a interesting text about the subject http://www.livesteelarmor.com/hm/hf.html . As for the aesthetic the bronze looks nice but my personal favorite is the green one (plus i think a bronze armor would be bellow the orc's technology level). I'm sure what...

Re: thespaceinvader sprites: current, animals

On that note, anyone know if there's any chance I'll be able to get some GPL'd pig noises? Maybe. Here are 6 different pig noises http://www.freesound.org/packsViewSingle.php?id=2170 , there under a creative commons license but if you write a nice message to him asking if he is willing to duallicen...

Re: Rod's Big Animals - New: Tiger

The moment i saw what Jetryl wrote i know what creature i wanted to make. "The wolly pig" which mostly looks like a wild boar but fatter and longhaired. I imagine such a creature wold be very useful, with good tasting meat a thick fur you can make warm clothes of, and you could also shave ...

Re: thespaceinvader's portraits - current, Dwarves

Nothing important, but it would probably look more consistent if you used the same technique for drawing chain-mail as the other dwarfportraits
on the sentinel to.

Re: Mermaid initiate portrait

Well just to be perfectly clear so that no one holds any grudges, the "Hee" in my previous post was directed at myself for looking at it along time without realizing it was something odd with the hand.
Looking forward to see the next version.

Re: Mermaid initiate portrait

her left hand is very, very small and has six fingers... Hee i never noticed that until i read it, i wonder if it was intentional? Either way i dont think its necessarily bad, since this is the first portrait of her species (that i know of) 6 fingers can be made one of thier characteristics. Just a...

Re: Northerners flag

@fuzz579 I have tried that, but i think it looks best if the flagpole has the same position as all the other flagpoles, and a flag has to fit inside the hex. Its a tight fit as you can see. With horns pointing upwards tha flagpole would have to be VERY short. Edith: Oh and buy the way edits are welc...

It has been a long long time since i have done anything, but i had some spare time and decided to pick up this old project.
If this is good, i will probably do a animation this weekend.

Re: Mermaid initiate portrait

Personally i prefer the topless one for two reasons. 1: it is true to the sprite and make it easier to identify, with the top it looks a bit like a priestes/deviner which i think wears a top/bra thingy 2: having units that doesn't wear any clothes at all makes them feel a little more like their own ...

Re: New animations

I have been playing DiD so i have seen a lot of mounted zombies die and noticed that they didn't have a death anim.
So i made a quick clone of the mounted soulless death anim
