Re: Add prompt at end of campaign scenario to upload replay to help improve game balance

Re: Add prompt at end of campaign scenario to upload replay to help improve game balance
Here's a visual mockup showing how the feedback prompt might look like: prompt_mockup.png As you can see, I figured out a potential solution to the savescumming obstacle: Have the player self-report if they savescummed in the replay. Properties of this menu: Both radio buttons are unticked by defaul...

Add prompt at end of campaign scenario to upload replay to help improve game balance
Context: The AI and code logic of Wesnoth sometimes undergoes change that can affect balance of campaigns, and its always an ongoing objective to improve the balance of single-player campaigns. However, balancing is not always easy and the more data available the better the game can be balanced. Al...

Re: Novice+intermediate campaigns on permadeath
Curious about that mod now. The name makes me think it is something completely different! There are examples of the term "hardcore mode" meaning permadeath in the context of computer games. In Diablo II, if you create a "hardcore" character that character is a permadeath charact...

Re: Wesnothweb just like FreeCivweb
Hmm, after seeing those WIP attempts, and the way web technologies and software advancements have been going, it almost seems like this finally being accomplished by someone someday for wesnoth seems like a when rather than an if. It's exciting. Fascinating to see that the way aidanhs is doing it is...

Wesnothweb just like FreeCivweb
Here's an idea that is sort of somewhere between practical and far-fetched: Make a browser-based version of Wesnoth, similar to https://www.freecivweb.org/. The freecivweb game, even though its in a browser has: Music and sound Pretty good graphics Responsive interface Game and Display Settings Full...

Siege/Assault Multiplayer Game Type
In the game Unreal Tournament from 1999 there is a game mode called "Assault". The match is played twice, where two teams take turns in the role of attacker and defender. This makes me think of an idea for Wesnoth. Here's an idea for a 1v1 multiplayer game mode for wesnoth, let's call it s...
