Re: Help with WML for a particular scenario

Well, that's very much a non-trivial problem (and not exactly what I imagined you were trying to do). If you think about how you would play the AI side as a human player, it involves decisions which units should attack in order to open a gap vs. which should press forward toward the goal vs. potent...

Re: Help with WML for a particular scenario

You still haven't given quite enough information for us to know exactly how best to advice you. However, the Goto Micro AI is quite versatile and can probably be set up for this purpose. You might want to check that out. Ok, take for example the player has to protect an artifact located on a specif...

Yes, thats the thing I want the AI to do, try to capture a particular tile ignoring the enemies and villages.

Re: Help with WML for a particular scenario

I need help once more. If I want an AI controlled side to capture a particular hex with any available unit what should be the required code? Thanks in advance.

Re: Doreldos: Fight to Liberty:SP Campaign Feedback & Reviews

Dear friends, I have finally uploaded this campaign on the 1.14 server. Due to time constraints I couldn't pay attention to this campaign for a long period of time. I will test this campaign and make certain changes as required. I hope you will enjoy playing this campaign. And I profusely thank all ...

Re: Birth of a Lich: SP Campaign Feedback and Reviews

Hi everyone!
A new version 1.0.5 of the campaign "Birth of a Lich" has been launched. Some of the scenarios have been modified a little, and some potential bugs have been removed. Please update your add-ons.

Re: Scenario Review: SoF 6 - Towards the Caves

(1) What difficulty level and version of Wesnoth have you played the scenario on? 1.14.7, Challenging (Steelclad) (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) 10, without some modifications (see below) (3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives? Absolutely clear (4) How clear and inte...

Thanks for sharing that! I recommend that you post it to viewforum.php?f=8, in this thread it will be lost :)
Thanks a lot!

Re: Heir to the Throne Update (Current Focus: S1)

I have always considered the last scenario (The Battle for Wesnoth) to be a spoilsport at the end of this epic campaign. You just have to burrow down in a small area creating a wall of tough units and see your painstaking efforts going down the drain in front of a load of enemy veterans. I have crea...

Re: Birth of a Lich: SP Campaign Feedback and Reviews

Well this isn't really any of my business and i joined long after that discussion was over, but from what i heard, ShadowM specifically requested that IftU not be mainlined. The way i understand it, the process tends to take away a lot of creative freedom from the campaign's author. Kinda makes sen...

BTIsaac wrote: May 16th, 2018, 11:04 am Well based on a bit of discussion I had with ShadowM a few months ago, maybe not getting mainlined isn't all that bad.
I have no objection about this, but can you explain a little bit about your discussion? It might be interesting for all of us!

Re: Birth of a Lich: SP Campaign Feedback and Reviews

That's too bad... :/ But well, that only means that this campagin won't go mainline. It doesn't impact it's quality. :D I'm afraid that your apprehensions are true. For some reason my storyline doesn't fit in the plans of the developers. However if people have enjoyed playing this I will consider m...

I had tried earlier, but to no avail... :(

Re: Birth of a Lich: SP Campaign Feedback and Reviews

So... why does only one human veteran get to be recalled in "Friend in Need"? I had several humans survive the previous scenario, but only one, who was south of the river, can be recalled in the next scenario. Also, I'm sure I must be doing something wrong because while I could get throug...
