Re: Wesnoth 20 anniversary project A little lore
What I sometimes wonder, being ancient at this point in time (+20 years on the webforum!), is ... what did the old wesnoth folks do? E. g. all those people in the first 5 years of wesnoth and this forum. What happened to them? Any of these mega-ancient people still active? I know myself as being onl...

I also find the structure of the above content a bit hard to follow when reading this. The ideas seem to ju...

In the later stages you probably ran a bit out of ideas and integrated different units. This is a nice idea, including findi...

Oh yes and perhaps also if an enemy undead kills a bee, to raise a zombie bee or something.

Re: The Bees Journey
This was a fun campaign - very nice. If you ever have the time to make a few changes, I would suggest going crazy on the bee-theme actually. There are already many bee-specific aspects, including aging. That was quite hilarious to see that bees do age. :) New scenarios could be within a bee-hive; or...

[Incomplete Idea / Suggestion] Mainline campaigns "add-on tree"
So this is an incomplete idea I just had: mainline campaigns "add-on tree". So, say we have 6 core campaigns of Wesnoth. What if, after someone (a genuinely new player that is) has played through these, additional campaigns related to the main storyline are "unlocked"? For instan...

[Suggestion] Add a generic creator-info widget for all campaigns
Right now I am playing thorough the nameless fellowship saga. What I found interesting is the art - the art seems quite distinct from other art before. So I want to know who the author is. Actually, the artist - the one who drew the art for that campaign. I can search, and find out, but I am a lazy ...

I used that in the scenario where you are attacked from all sides, so I could place some more fodder units to distract and delay. Actually I think the biggest benefit ...

> Very good quality this campaign, certainly exploits Wesnoth to the fullest.
Indeed. It kind of pushed the frontier here.
I wonder if we can one day create a campaign that even beats TLU quality-wise.

Re: Backwards-facing units
It would be interesting if he could have automatic sprite animations. Like some units turn sleepy-face when idling for too long.

Re: Movement costs added to lava
I could see a few unit types being potentially able to walk on lava. Something like a ranger, but rather than elf + forest some lizardman thingy or something. It probably won't make it into the mainland campaigns, so just for add-ons. In the add-on legend of the invincibles, one dwarf hero unit got ...

Re: [engine] ruined village suggestion
There are some campaigns with ruined villages or something. But usually the villages are just destroyed completely in these campaigns. Would be interesting if we could have some general mechanic where villages can be damaged, then perhaps not supply food, but can be repaired if a unit occupies it fo...

Re: How to install the dependence on ubuntu(wsl)?
If all fails you can run a LFS/BLFS on WSL, for the most part - that is, compile everything from source - and run that. I did that on my laptop back on WSL1 already. It was slow, tedious, but it can be done! On debian you typically have to install all the missing -dev packages that contain the .h fi...
