Re: Packaging changes for 1.14.10 and 1.15.3

Re: Unit Names

If the unit has a female version, call that version "... Crossbowwoman". Problem solved. The race prefixes already make it clear that we're not talking about humans here.

Re: Map images translation in Simplified Chinese.

You could try contacting the current maintainer so that you don't accidentally work on the same file at the same time, and then start by fixing the translation mistakes that annoy you.

Re: Career Choices after Undergraduate Studies in Electrical Engineering

You should keep in mind that it will take you a few year to finish the course, and job markets can change in the meantime. So, make sure that you pick something that you feel somewhat passionate about, because it will help you become good at it. Have a look at the detailed curricula of the courses y...

Re: French translation ?

I was interested in setting up a Pootle server, but I just can't find the time to do it :(

Maybe we can work together with freegamedev on this one? https://forum.freegamedev.net/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=8059

Re: Optional player's rating

0 A.D. has a form of ELO rating. It needs more effort than just implementing the scoring, because there are players who will cheat by quitting without resigning when they are about to lose, and it is hard to distinguish them from a dropped internet connection, which is not the quitting player's faul...

Re: Is anyone interested in having the game translated to Arabic?

I agree - translate if it is what YOU want to do, because it is a lot of work. I don't keep stats for my translations, but I do get the occasional personal thank you, because it does make a difference to my community. Arabic is sadly underrepresented in computing, so I'd say go for it. P.S: We just ...

Re: Widelands

The economy control has been discussed before and we haven't found a solution to the problem yet. The reason that it's on the flags is that you can have multiple economies with individual settings, unlike the other settings which are global. One idea we have had is to make them accessible from wareh...

Re: Widelands

Thanks for your feedback :) If it did take you 3 hours to collect the building materials for a ship in Empire 3, you did not follow the scenario instructions in some place. It might be interesting to find out where you went wrong so that we can tweak it. If you want more of the challenge fro the AI,...
