Several of our mainline campaigns are in the works for upgrades at the moment, which includes adding characters and enhancing existing scenarios. We are looking for more artwork to supplement these upgrades, including the following:
We are happy to announce that Wesnoth is now able to accept donations on Liberapay . While Wesnoth does rely on the work of dedicated volunteers, no project can function completely cost-free. Revenue from the Apple App Store and from donations goes towards maintaining our servers,...
There have been numerous important forum posts and wiki articles written by users and developers. We reference these pages a lot, and decided to put them together in a convenient list.
Write clearly, be nice to others, and be very careful when posting anything related to politics or religion. When asking for help, remember that everyone here is a volunteer. Prefer editing your previous post over double posting. No animated avatars or graphical signatures. Don’t plagiarize other’s...
im not sure if its because of me not doing something right in the scenario or whatever, but i can't seem to advance beyond princess' revenge. i did what it told me to do, which is to survive (and i did - i survived with one enemy castle in my control :p), and it still says that i was defeated. this...
I'm trying to host a Wesnoth game behind a firewall, and i need to know; what ports does wesnoth use for multiplayer? I'd prefer to not DMZ my machine everytime i play, as that is a mostly bad idea.
EDIT: I'm sure it says in the manual or on the forum somewhere, but I can't find it. :(
I have some problem with the server since a few days. It often ask me to log in, for example when I try to submit a new post. In one occasion it suffered from schizoprenia displaying that I was logged in but asking me again to log in...and not recognizing me when I try to log in. It took me about...
Using the linux version of .7.6 compiled from source, The graphics look... odd. This is more of an annoyance than a flat-out bug, but the graphics are sort of fuzzy and rough around the edges. The previous versions looked better. Has anyone else experienced this?
Is this because of the sprite...
When I am playing a large multiplayer game at the end of each human players turn there is a long pause. The pause is especially long when there has been a large number of units in the game. I was wondering if it has something to do with the autosave. I think if there was a way to turn off the...
I don't really understand the way the gold is kept at the end of a scenario,
as it is told the 50% of the gold is kept, but in reality it's more.
Could someone explain me why?
I can't save my game when relieving the siege on the 3rd level for the northeners. Anything special I should do, or will that be fixed in the next version. I have a Mac running OSX.
I'm little idiot I must admit 'cause I had wrongfully thought I've cleaned off my installation sources directory.
So, I decided to make an over installation trying to write-over my old compiled /usr/local/bin/wesnoth with the 7.5 sources.
I can't access the forum index right now, and from the lack of posts, it doesn't seem like anyone else can either. If this is intended, could you put a note on the main site? Thanks.
I've been using wesnoth since version .5.x and have never run into any problems.. until now. Using the latest linux dev. version (.7.5) I get a strange and seemingly random graphics bug. Sometimes when I move units, the unit graphics start flashing and it moves sllooowwly. This doesn't happen...
i have battle for wesnoth v0.7.5
whenever i load these files, it goes back to scepter of fire scenario
in the changelog it says it is fixed, i guess not!
At the beginning of a new turn when you start cycling through units and there is a unit that is right next to an enemy one you must deselect, then select it in order to be able to attack that enemy. All version that i have played with include this, up to and including 0.7.5.
I have 2 bugs to report. I'm running OS X (10.2.8 ) on a G4 titanium laptop, wesnoth version 0.7.2.
The first bug I've come across is fairly minor but pretty annoying. Basically the Mage of Light's illumination feature is incredibly slow. The game literally slows to a crawl when the map turns dark...
devsrv downtime was caused by hardware failure, processor decided to signout (it cracked). devsrv is now running on replacement hardware (500MHz Pentium III with 64 MB RAM) until I can get new processor.
Would it be possible to add a -q flag or somesuch to surpress the debug output to the console?
It's annoying when playing in window mode, useless to the average user and eating cpu cycles. Unfortunately it doesn't respond to 2>&1 > /dev/null, nohup is the only thing I found so far to get it quiet....
I saved game after finish of Snow Plains scenario. Started plaing North Elves, but made mistakes, so i wanted start again. Unfortunetly after loading save game i saw Sceptre of Fire scenario instead of North Elves!
Auto-save loads ok (North Elves).
I looked into save files (my save, and auto-save)...
Hi I hope somebody can help, I've downloadede the binaries for slackware ie.wesnoth-0.7.2-i585-1.tgz then performed tar wesnoth-0.7.2-i585-1.tgz and the files seem to have been expanded into usr/share/wesnoth I then try to cd into /usr/share/wesnoth but it says no such file. Can somebody tell me...
to the /etc/apt/sources.list file, but it didn't work
but apt-get update choked with an error 404, apparently debian.wesnoth.org does not follow the debian repository tree structure. I've downloaded the packages by hand, but it would be nice to have that...
Since a long time I've got a problem with the make_translation utility.
I've updated my source from yesterday CVS, and there are still some missing translation id:
