Addons & Dunefolk, a conspiracy?

Post by Atreides »

Something I've noticed about a lot of addon eras is that few use the Dunefolk. Is this a dislike amongst most era makers? Dunefolk are not "mainline" per se but they're certainly _much_ more tested than the addon factions and
should IMHO be included for every addon era made that uses the default. I mean... default are 100% tested and solid. Dunefolk are 95% there and addons range from 1%-90%. :) I'm not insulting the addons, I love most of them. I'm just being realistic.

Most of these add-ons were simply written before the dunefolk was added to the default era.
Scenario with Robots SP scenario (1.11/1.12), allows you to build your units with components, PYR No preperation turn 1.12 mp-mod that allows you to select your units immideately after the game begins.

Oh noooooo. Nice going. You just wrecked a perfectly good conspiracy theory. ;)

Thanks for the info, it makes sense. Hehehe. Darn.

Well - I think while the above explanation is probably 95% correct,
another reason may simply be that people are not that much interested
in it, compared to other things e. g. elves. There is one add-on that
is nice with modified dunefolks or so. The ones with the wyverns. I
liked that one, even though the dunefolk spear folks were overpowered.
