Mage Campaign: Attack of the Undead

Well, support for translations won't work unless you commit your latest changes into the WesCamp SVN repository. So far I couldn't create the required files for translators. Uploading on the campaign server does NOT do it.wsultzbach wrote:Ok, I've just uploaded a small update, 1.0.3. I made minor edits to some maps as well as adding support for translations.

Whenever I try to commit my changes to the SVN it asks me for my berlios.de password, I enter it, and then it keeps denying me permission.torangan wrote:Well, support for translations won't work unless you commit your latest changes into the WesCamp SVN repository. What's this annoying thing that appears at the bottom of every one of my posts?
Using a password most likely won't work at all. You've got to follow the instructions for creating a public ssh key and upload that. If you generate it without a passphrase, you won't need any password at all anymore.

To get things running until you get your problems with ssh authentification sorted out, I fetched the latest version from the stable campaign server and commited it along with the translation files extracted from those files.
Seemed to work well if you've got only 65 strings but you're missing a textdomain declaration for your Demilich.cfg. This means Wesnoth will try to find translations for this units description in the official wesnoth textdomain.

I got my ssh key and updated it but it keeps asking me for my password, so I don't know what's going on.

If you put up your public key it shouldn't ask for your password anymore after a couple of hours. It takes some time until the key is actually activated on berlios.de! Otherwise - did you create your key with a passphrase? If yes, that one will be asked. But it shouldn't cause any problems once the key is up provided that you did a correct checkout? Would have been:
svn co svn+ssh://wsultzbach@svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/wescamp-i18n
You can have a look into .svn/entries. Your checkout line is written there in the beginning.

I haven't played this, but
if you're finding you can defeat the enemy leader on a campaign where you're supposed to run, consider:
adding in the [scenario] tag.
or making said enemy leader passive and invincible by some means.
Also, my Town vs Gown campaign is another that's likely to be something of a mages' one. And my second scenario is also 'run for it', though from orcs.

adding
Code: Select all
victory_when_enemies_defeated=no

I levelled up a peasant on the second scenario, only to find I was unable to recall him or anyone else on the third! Is there a reason for that? If not, I suggest you get the recall list working. I'm not quite sure how it _does_ work.
Also are you planning on making more mage units. If so they would go well in my campaign too.

Hmm, I've never experienced that. Could you attach a savegame or replay?tw wrote:I levelled up a peasant on the second scenario, only to find I was unable to recall him or anyone else on the third! Since the forum is being a pain, find the saves here: http://hal.trinhall.cam.ac.uk/~tw296/wesnoth/
