hi, is it just me or if a geared unit with special weapons advances normally during a scenario, stats are not calculated correctly and weapon specials not taken over? for example i just advanced a spearman to a hellebardier with a konrad's might spear and all of a sudden he lost all dmg bonus and marksman?

Halberdier isn't using a spear, so the effects of the equipped spear on his attack disappeared. Craft a polearm version of Konrad's Might and it will have an effect.

so right. i was stupid. sorry.

edit: not SOOOO stupid actually. if i craft a polearm and exchange it right away the spear disappears into nothingness. if i dis-equip it beforehand i can store it in the item storage. maybe its my stupidity again, but i guess something is not working 100% there ...

That isn't exactly the expected behaviour. The spear should not disappear into nothingness (and I don't think it usually happens). Do you happen to have a save file where it can be replicated?

hard to replicate. i dont have a save file either. it does happen in between, in the menu. i cant describe it better. it just gets lost. if u dis-equip it beforhand everything is good. but jut just re-equipping it will result in fail.

Bug: If Mind Raid causes a unit to level, it doesn't level! No AMLA, no change in needed XP, just resets XP to 0.

I haven't grabbed the latest version, so you might have fixed this, but I see no mention of it, so I don't think so ...
In Journey South (3.2), there is an event that does not work. It looks like it is meant for side 5 (undead), but it modifies side 4. Plus the undead have no leader and no keep, so letting them recruit is useless. I feel like side 5 should get activated (remove special guardian) and be allowed to recruit at some point. Line 674:

Code: Select all

[event]
        name=moveto
        [filter]
            x,y=54-92,1-34
            side=1,3,5
        [/filter]
        [modify_side]
            side=4
            team_name=monsters
            user_team_name=_"Monsters"
            canrecruit=yes
            recruit=Mist,Wolf
#ifdef CAMPAIGN_LEGEND_OF_THE_INVINCIBLES_III
            {GOLD 100 130 160}
#else
            {GOLD 150 200 250}
#endif
        [/modify_side]
    [/event]

I've just figured out a bug in cone. If there is a target (penetrate target) behind the primary target, it will also hit a unit adjacent to primary target and penetrate target. If there is no penetrate target, that third unit will not be hit. Does that make sense?

I thought I had fixed that problem with cone. But when looking at its code, it really seems that I haven't. Apparently, I fixed it only in World of Wesnoth where this bug was more visible. Thanks for reporting.

Also fixed the issue with the wrong side number.

Fixing the side number alone doesn't fix the problem - there is no leader and no keep, so that event won't do anything even applied to the correct side.

Error? Delly lich has an AMLA to gain a Parry attack. But it is -70 to number of attacks, which seems an excessively severe penalty. Basically it is stuck at 1 attack.

I added a leader to that side.

The -70 penalty doesn't mean 70 less attacks, it means 70% less attacks. Do you know how powerful can be the parry weapon special when the enemy has a lot of attacks and the parrying unit has a low chance to get hit?

EDIT: I also added the long promised resistances to the unit information panel. Wait for the next update to see it.

On Delly's parry, the answer is that I posted based upon memory, without checking. I thought other units could AMLA a parry attack with a much lower penalty to attacks. Upon checking, my memory was wrong ... everyone gets -70.

On 1.11.12, I played part 2 of LotI, but when I reached the start of chapter 8, the first scenario refuses to start, and the game just closes each time I tried. I also loaded the save on 1.11.18, and the same issue is present. I was wondering if this was a bug, or due to my versions of Wesnoth?

Can you attach a save file where you encountered that problem?

So I've just finished chapter 5(loved it by the way) and it says to be continued does that mean the campaign hasn't been completed or I have to got over and start the second half?
