I don't know anything about anyone using them for an add-on, but you can boldly do it.

Hello maksiu,

It was pointed out to me that there is a white mage character in HttT campaign that has a sword in their portrait, maybe they should not be a stock white mage.

Moremirmu portrait

HttT is the original Wesnoth and will always be some sort of "flagship". A sword-wielding white mage (and advancement) that looks a bit more like the portrait might be a good, manageable project that doesn't need anyone to make huge commitments, like replacing all the mage line would. Would you be interested in this?
