I just want to note that if this has changed to actually working on the campaign rather than just "gathering information", you should probably create a new thread or at least rename the opening post and new posts.

Don’t worry I haven’t exactly started yet I’m still waiting for a reply from doofus-01 to my pm. Upon another look even the grammar for sceptre of fire was pretty solid and I’m confused why I was told it needed work on.Celtic_Minstrel wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 5:36 pm I just want to note that if this has changed to actually working on the campaign rather than just "gathering information", you should probably create a new thread or at least rename the opening post and new posts.
We’ll see. But I understand wanting to keep forum topics clean but don’t worry I like things orderly as well. If I need a different topic for actually working on the project I will, but I’m waiting to see what doofus01 says

Re: Gathering information about Scepter of Fire Campaign
While you have a lot of cool ideas I'm not sure that we need to go into details of every single character. Also, you're suggesting some major changes to the campaign. I'm not sure if the developers would be open to it, if so I probably am not qualified to design it, I don't know that much about campaign design, and if any large changes need done I'm sure there's someone better to do it. I could probably manage a few changes in a level but anything else is beyond the scope of my abilities.holypaladin wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 5:10 pm After yesterday's played again Sceptre of Fire I am coming with another needed changes I noticed
Amount of Glildur's bodyguards now depends on difficulty level
Haldric's soldiers are defending caravans instead of attacking Glildur's castle
Haldric has more gold
In Closing the Gates Baglur mentions being overrun by elves. We may use it to expand my mentioned retrospection of battle between dwarves and elves where drarves won thanks to Thursagan
Gate is not impossible to be denstructed but is just strong
Dialogue between Rugnur i Baglur in Closing the Gates is whispers (what's different from loud dialogue between Rugnur and Glildur)
Reduce cost of boxes with fighting help (cost simoliarly as one unit but is not equally good, same case with Thursagan's help)
Rugnur cannot become runsmith
After closing gates Glildur and Baglur have no dialogue (how could they even hear each other?)
Rugnur explain Baglur whole situation before Baglur explain it to Durnstorn
Baglur knows well location of Thursagan's house
Krawg has resilient trait
Thursagan's house has specific place, no random
"Gathering materials" scenario don't looks interesting or promising, can be removed after finding alternative
Dwarvish miner as basic dwarf unit (more on this topic here viewtopic.php?t=57995)
Thursagan seems to have good relations with Theganli unlike with Durnstorn, let's make it like Theganli is one of dwarfs that remembers Thursagan before his depart
Disobedience - Thursagan convinces Rugnur and dwarves to not taking part in storming, it goes by easy beacuse dwarves are not willing to fight their race, offended Durnstorn gets mad and armies just standing against each other without fight until Glildur comes, both clans fight together to force them to retreat but assasin elvish avenger kills Glonoin and most of Snorbear dwarfs. Remaining ones joins our team and give us their tools
Durnstorn rehabilites himself defending the doors to cave from mercenaries
In current version gryphons join from nowhere and so far from place where Krawg joined, how to solve it?
Lord Aeseri should have more informasions or don't have title of lord (maybe even better to just replace this scenario with few others)
Dwarfs fight and defeat Krakrahs
Saugrath removed from map as already destroyed
Glildur was taking part in denstruction of Saugrath, he is very pround from massive infancide he commited (that would fix his cruel character)
Besides I'd need to replay it but I thought it was pretty good the way it is. For the most part at least

For sure those I mentioned will make campaining much more interesting. Also I can offer my help in translating campaining into PolishWhile you have a lot of cool ideas I'm not sure that we need to go into details of every single character.

Re: Gathering information about Scepter of Fire Campaign
So I spoke with Doofus-01, and he suggested waiting for anything for a while. They are currently reworking some of the main campaigns and if they have to change this one to fit with new lore any work that done now would be wasted. I'm still willing to help with writing/ editing whenever Doofus-01 thinks it's time. I also deleted the repository I made because the only reason I did was to hold art.
In the meantime, however, people can use this thread to give suggestions they think need changes, as well as any information from the new lore that's pertaining to the campaign.

I've started on some jewelers, as per a request from Holypaladin, based on the portrait they posted. Of course, the AI portrait will not be used, but it is a good inspiration. Edit: Welp, seem like im not needed, but im halfway throught the jewlers so ill post them anyways Edit2:I'm dropping this, srry

Do not worry about that, project seems to be currently withheld cause I cannot continue it alone but if you made already few examples don't stop yourself from dropping them here or in art section. May be very uselful and helpfulEdit: Welp, seem like im not needed, but im halfway throught the jewlers so ill post them anyways Edit2:I'm dropping this, srry

It's not exactly withheld, more like postponed. There's no sense trying to improve a house now if they need to knock it down and build a barn.

I didn't noticed anyone who would be taking care on rewriting Sceptre of FireShadowOfHassen wrote: ↑May 4th, 2024, 7:56 pm It's not exactly withheld, more like postponed. There's no sense trying to improve a house now if they need to knock it down and build a barn.

Re: Gathering information about Scepter of Fire Campaign
Doofus01 said he might want to make a few changes to the campaign and the other developers are working on redoing some of the other campaigns, I believe rise of Wesnoth (where they get the Jewel) and Heir to the Throne. If they make any major changes, it could affect the Sceptre of Fire and there's no sense me editing the story if they might change it. Now there's a chance they might not change it, or change it slightly, then I'm happy to do an editing pass and possibly flush out a few characters. We'll just have to see.holypaladin wrote: ↑May 4th, 2024, 8:00 pmI didn't noticed anyone who would be taking care on rewriting Sceptre of FireShadowOfHassen wrote: ↑May 4th, 2024, 7:56 pm It's not exactly withheld, more like postponed. In the meantime, HolyPaladin you can post any other suggestions you have, because either way the team is open for suggestions and some of yours were very insightful. I really liked your point concerning the dragon.
