Rough Portraits, suitable for UMC's

Post by commanderkeen »

3 Portraits. They are probably quite well suited for User-made Campaigns. I can upload the 256 Grayscale or lineart versions if anyone wants those too.

And yes, I know I didn't bother to do any shading but I'd do a bad job of it anyway.

Of course, you are welcome to make improvements, criticisms and generally tweak things. If you use them, I would appreciate having me in the credits but I don't mind if you don't, just as long as the work isn't attributed to someone else.

For starters, I would advise using anti-aliasing on your lines so they don't look jagged. If you are using MS Paint you will have to use something else in order to do that.

I will leave other advice for the people who are more artistically qualified.

Yes, I was using MS paint. I have better tools, but I don't like them.

It is easier for others to tweak them if they are anti-aliased. Ok, I admit that if you use fill tolerance it won't matter...

I have grayscale AA ones, but I didn't use them because at the time I wasn't very good at portraiture. But if someone wants to use them, I can touch them up.

For paint, actually, that's pretty good. I recommend, though, that you get either a goot tool like GIMP (which is free) or a scanner and pen.

I haven't had a go at portraits in a while. Maybe I could try that next...

Ah, I was using a scanner and pen, I meant I used MS paint for touchups and filling it in. I do have the GIMP, but my scanning laptop is too slow to run it.
