hmm well the elves are powerful in this forest map, but they suck against skeleton that may exist in later scenarios. On the contrary, the bandits are good against undead due to their impact attack. And if I ally with them, I don't have to fight them. The only problem is then I will only have one he...

South Guard: Choice in the fog (ver. 1.1.7)
thx to the advice on "A Desparate Errand." I finally passed the level, but now I'm stuck on this one. At turn 27, I finally find the Bandit leader, only to discover that the lich is at the far southeast :(. The map is huge  So I have to restart. I am not sure whether to ally with th...

South Guard 3. A Desparate Errand
I was playing it on hard v1.1.7. Basically, I recall/recruit 3 turns worth of troops. Then I sent a cavalry to north and everything else to the bandit's camp. At turn 15, my troops are stuck at the river/beach near the bandit's camp. The enemies just keep coming. Maybe I didn't recruit enough troops...

Level up a few shamans for healing instead of mages to white, they level faster and woodlandfloat movetype + cure + slow is good. Keep ~2-3 white magi or MoL for undeads, but otherwise, elves are naturally better healers. yep white mage needs too many xp, and it is only good against undead, and he ...

 you manage to train 4 silver mages? How can you have enough decent units to protect all those mages while they are leveling up? Are you playing on hard? lol I was planning to get more captains and avenger. Unfortunately, my experienced units come with quick trait quite often, so I need to ma...

Can AI see rangers/avengers?
There are several times that I am tempted to drop my avengers in a forest, which is behind the enemies. But I am not sure if AI can see all my units. So I figure I might as well ask since this, if works, is a beautiful strategy.

my meatshield consists of level 1 fighters that I can use to throw away or as bait, and level 3 Elven champions since they won't die and inflict heavy damage in both range and melee. My elite avenger corps, initially recruited because of the forest terrain in the first scenario, usually on the flank...

regiment composition in HttT?
Basically this is my regiment composition. (my army, sadly enough, usually consists of <=2 regiments since money is an issue) 6 meatshield in front. This is because most units have movement around 6. Thus, I can avoid my force being too spread out. 5 units at the back, including: 2 flank units (cava...

currently I am playing on normal difficulty of HttT. I am already on the Lost General scenario. But I'm thinking of going back to Bay of Pearl, where I stupidly level up my loyal mage into white mage. I find my white mage pretty useless. Against undead, my elven troops (avengers + a sharpshooter) ca...

HTTT: what should I level up my loyal mage to?
I have a hard time of thinking what I should level up my unit to in my campaign. This is just one of them. Red mage has an obvious potential to level up to great mage which is a level 4 unit. White mage, on the other hand, can cure . This is especially great for backing up my cannonfodders ...
