Expansion on Multiplayer Etiquette

http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/MP_CodeOfConduct seems to be missing a few commonly accepted norms. 1. ask players if they are ready before starting game 2. not change settings after players confirm ready 3. refrain from talking dirt 4. continue playing even when loosing (surrenders excluded) 5. confirm...

Re: State of the multiplayer server

Assuming you don't mind David. I'd like to hear more suggestions for people regarding server solutions. Its interesting to see what people come up with. One solution that works for me: rent 4U, and one net connection. Install 2 2U servers, connect them on a private network, and call technical suppor...

Dave wrote:Well, we have an update on this: I have re-designed the multiplayer server and gotten most of the major bugs out. The server is now running much faster than before, and should be more responsive for everyone.
Thanks for all the hard work. Congrats on the improvements.

Re: State of the multiplayer server

To me its a matter of pride--and fear of being in public naked--that I buy clothing (mostly T-shirts) supporting GNU/FOSS projects, and Podcasts (quick a plug for the Rock and Roll Geek Show with Michael Butler, and The Roadhouse Podcast with Tony Steidler-Dennison. Check out OpenBSD's long line of ...

Sounds great. I'll be monitoring this thread for a future version release.

BTW, is it possible to play a since scenario out of a campaign?

This is obviously a VERY well thought out campaign. You must have placed a great deal of effort into the planning stage rather than getting right to the map editor. Please keep it up! I'll probably need to redraw the map or reposition the two enemies and the peasant. How about an object modification...

Hi, I just play tested BMR 0.2.0 on Wesnoth 1.3.18. Lots of great changes in the past month or so. The new dogs are great. Here's a few notes I took along the way: (Be sure to double-check the scenario numbers are correct. I alternated between names and numbers and may have the numbering off.) #1 a)...

Is it fixed? I attempted to update all add-ons but none had a new version number in info.cfg. Opening socket to campaigns.wesnoth.org:15005 for 1.4.x Connected as 22017. Not downloading A_New_Land because it is already up-to-date. Not downloading Extended_Era because it is already up-to-date. Not do...

Re: Era Development and OSS (Suggestion)

EoM has had several releases recently. It's actually more than likely that some of you had Gamma 7 and some Gamma 8. Whenever you get OOS's, of any type (but especially recruitment OOS's), the first thing to try is to have everyone download the era in question again. It may seem reasonable to expec...

Re: Era Development and OSS (Suggestion)

Did you work out what exactly was out of sync? Only that bats and some other unit I can't remember had no graphics. There were a few OSS messages but I didn't take note. Next time I will... You should be getting recruitment OOS when you have different stats not just when the effects of these differ...

Symbol 'INCLUDE' will cause a recursive macro call

Hi, A boat load of campaigns and eras will not load. Wesnoth displays an error on start-up: "Symbol 'INCLUDE' will cause a recursive macro call" Its been happening for a few versions prior to 1.3.19, but I don't see anyone else complaining. Its starting to feel like a local issue. Is this ...
