Re: The Fires of Pride (0.3.0)

Finally got my comp fixed, so I corrected that typo when I uploaded it to 1.9.6 server. Didn't have time to test it thoroughly (just a debug/cheat run in 5 minutes through the first few levels), so I'm hoping that nothing'll break going from .5 to .6 I'm gonna try and get a nice update out next week...

Re: [interface] Movement bar

I believe that that's only a part of what he is suggesting. Firstly, the proposed system would be superior in the sense that you would be able to cycle through your units by simply looking at the list instead of having to hit the 'n' key to blindly figure out if you've forgotten anyone (this is assu...

Re: [engine] Group Turns Idea

FALSE, it increases linearly. Lol, are we going to quibble about details? While it is true that according to the correct definition of the term, it increased linearly, I don't think Wingflier was attempting to use it in its literal mathematical sense. For my part, I play mostly singleplayer,...

Re: How are chosen retaliation attacks?

I think the AI takes into account chance to kill enemy vs chance to die. If you have a good chance of dieing unless you use slow, it should use slow (based on my experience). The exception would be if one hit from your magical attack would kill the enemy, thus giving you a better chance of surviving...

Precisely! Wesnoth is exactly like a free toilet you pick up on the side of the road!

(sry, couldn't resist)

Re: Stuck on "The Founding of Borstep" 3rd mission

Another thing, there should be a thread for this campaign in the "Scenarios and Campaign Development" forum. If you were to post this question there as well, it might increase the chances that someone would notice your post that has played the campaign. I'd help, but have never played this...

Re: The future of wesnoth?

Oh gosh. This thread prompted me to have a look at the members list, sorted by post count. Starting at the top with Turin and working my way down. I see so many names that I miss. :(

The really sad and pathetic part is that probably 9/10 of them wouldn't have the foggiest notion who I am. :)

Re: The future of wesnoth?

well the number of ppl on the forums has definitely been growing at least. when i first joined there were only 11k-12k ppl registered True, but a lot of the old accounts have dropped out. For instance, when I started lurking in 2006, you had a core group that posted a lot. I come back in 2008, and ...

Re: The Fires of Pride (0.3.0)

What? You presumed to correct me? ME? I'll have you know I meant to have a nonsensical word in there! It makes me look smarter! Hehe. Thanks for bringing the typo to my attention. I'll get it fixed as soon as possible (which actually might not be for a while yet, due to the next paragraph). My compu...

Re: Osama Bin Laden is Dead

I have a friend in the military (who actually knew about all this over a week ago). He said that the military didn't even know Osama was there. They knew that some high profile terrorists were there, but didn't know it was him. They went in, a fight started, and a lot of shooting happened. It was on...

Re: League of Legends - Season 1

Played a game with not only that combo, but an Udyr thrown in as jungle. ^_^ Sion and Taric were actually pretty bad. We ended lane phase 11 kill to 27 deaths; most of them Taric and Sion. Enter teamfight phase: They couldn't touch us. We mopped them up every time. 3 easy to target stuns ended it fo...

Re: League of Legends - Season 1

Personally, I've done better on those games with Nasus where I haven't gotten the Aegis and instead rushed Trinity Force items. However, this might be more due to the fact that I'm gaining experience with his other aspects as well. P.S. Did anyone at Riot stop to consider the consequences of making ...

EDIT: Never mind, was having a brain seizure for some reason.

Personally, I don't care enough one way or the other on the Master-at-Arms issue.

Re: League of Legends - Season 1

Been having fun with free Karthus, Singed, and Kog'Maw week :D Last game as Singed, I was solo laning vs Nasus and Tryndamere. Any time I wanted, I could turn on poison and walk forward and they'd scatter back. Was hilarious! And then of course, late game the feelings of sheer indestructibility... I...
