Re: Reflections of a Wesnoth Veteran (or 'UMC & Me')
I've always preferred the multiplayer games, especially the story driven ones, so your add one stay favourites. Looking forward to trying out The Kraken.

Re: Sort-of bug report - inadvertent offensive content
I live in the UK, and the original usage which you seem to be objecting to went of of use many years ago, and now refers simply to a lack of common sense. I work with disabled people, both physically and mentally, every day and they do not recognise this term any more in the way you mean it. Trying ...

Re: "Aeranor: Book I": Opinions on Inventory Structure Reque
Some excellent aspects to this - the inventory is good, though personally I would have preferred option B, with items stored in the order you find them. That could be due to my point and click upbringing however... Agree with all the previous comments about the intro being very very long, though I l...

Re: Scenario Review: THoT 1 - At the East Gate
1) Difficulty Level - Normal 1.8.4 2) Difficulty of Play - Easy 3) Clarity - Crystal clear 4) Dialogue - Clear and interesting, it gets you straight into the story 5) Challenges - Lack of good terrain coupled with no healer 6) Fun - 8 7) Changes - Maybe more dialogue through the scenario 8) Event le...

Re: Can't connect to the stable server
Myself and five other friends have also had connection issues since last night. I have tried connecting from other computers with the same result.
For me this isn't a regular issue, just once before. I/We can connect to secondary servers.

Re: Save The Village - MP Survival Scenario
Very nice work Bob. I think this is much improved by the rewrites. Plays completely differently each time, and yes is tough but not unduly so. I generally prefer the quest based to the survival maps but this has enough going on to keep it interesting. The goblin bombers are brutal - definitely I hav...

Re: 1.8.5 server
I still can't connect to the sever despite the other thread on here saying the problem was fixed. I get the same thing when I try and connect to wesnoth.org:14998 sever which I think is the 1.8 one. I get to the 'Reading from server' window, which stays on 0%, then see an empty lobby page briefly be...

Re: The Wesnoth Project in the beginning
Thanks for the history - it's really interesting to see how it all started. Just played the 0.1 issue (thanks Penguin), and managed to get through it. All I can say is I am very glad to whoever came up with the next unit key after forgetting half my team for most of the game... I agree about the arc...

[split] Screen Resolution Problem with Mini Notebooks
Hmmm, you may be able to. Me? Not so much. Could you tell me exactly how I do that please? Many thanks in advance.seb wrote:You can start wesnoth with the --smallgui parameter which allows netbook resolutions (including 1024x600).
