Re: An idea of generic tutorial campaign
Do you imply that current tutorial is something serious and has something with Wesnoth storyline? ... I am not imply somthing less serios than what is shown there. I am implying that, while less serious than campaigns, the tutorial does somewhat fit the tone. What you are proposing is a metric tonn...

Re: An idea of generic tutorial campaign
I don't like the idea of the tutorial being humorous because it'd be so out of place given the tone of the game. I also dislike the idea of a generic campaign with heroes of different races, as it goes completely against nemaara's suggestion that campaigns should have a good, cohesive storyline. Als...

Re: Reworking/Revising The Sceptre of Fire
For movement, Dwarvish Scouts are probably the best option if you prefer sticking with units already present in mainline. Ulfserkers could also help diversify the gameplay. There are also Dwarvish Witnesses (from The Hammer of Thursagan) - lorewise, their job is to observe great deeds of dwarves, pr...

I also agree with ghype's suggestion.

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Unit Naming
Aye for Paragon. Dervish might be better on lvl 3. But then Executioner doesn't seem like a lvl2 name. So idk. Suggestions for chakram naga lvl3 (starting from most preferable): Riptide, Whirlwind, Zephyr, Vortex, Twister. The first three sound cooler than the remaining two, and Zephyr is a gentle w...

Re: Archers and Range
I guess. It just feels less about tactics when you can treat your units as expendable... There were consequences if you couldn't play tactically. Wesnoth sort of removes that consequence because you can simply buy more whenever you get low. It becomes less about tactics, and more about who can buy ...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Unit Naming
Naga names: I prefer Slasher over Stabber. Dervish has the right associations: frenzied, whirling dancing would fit the naga unit in question; but technically the definition is ways off from the unit. Captain lvl3: we've been over it too many times already. The consensus was that lvl3 is Dune Lord/G...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Extra Units
About the nagas you posted in the other thread: I prefer the one with two chakrams but the other one is good as well. I don't think holding a chakram with a full grip is an issue - it may be for humans, but nagas have scales that could protect them, so we can hand-wave that away. For level 3, having...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Extra Units
Just chiming in to say that the whole Shieldbreaker line looks amazing
The only thing that's a bit off is lvl 3's feet but I can't put my finger on it.

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Unit Naming & Descriptions
I'm against Cleaver, as cleaving is usually something you do with an axe or a hatchet. Cutthroat is ok if there's nothing better, but it seems more like a name for an assassin-type unit. I'm against Stalker because it's misleading - the naga has neither nightstalk nor submerge. What is supposed to b...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Extra Units
The new naga look awesome! :o At first,I also thought lvl3 looks way too big, but when you put it side by side with the existing ones, turns out its size iz ok. The only nitpick I have is that the bow on lvl3's back looks almost vertically positioned, which seems odd given naga's stance. I'm aware t...

Re: Poll: Do you reload usually if you lost your valuable high-level unit because of a strike of unluck?
Actually this is an excuse I always write myself. But did you ever actually accepted RNG's sentence for your valuable unit? Looks like never. You kinda always think "I've chosen a wrong strategy, I would better reload and try a new one". Thank you for telling me what I think, I wasn't awa...

I like Emir, not too fond of Luminary, but oh well. I still prefer Physician or Sage.
(I think luminary sounds shorter than philosopher due to stress being in initial position; compare record (noun) to record (verb)).

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Extra Units
I still think they're a bit too similar even when standing side by side on forum's background. I presume that in-game with more space between them and various backgrounds it'll be harder still to tell them apart. It'd be good if more people commented on it so you know whether it's ok or needs changi...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Base Units
I like all the revisions so far. The only nitpick I have is that Windrider's mask seems a bit like it's plastic and the eye is difficult to read. The golden strap(?) below his eye seems like it's the eye; alternatively, the eye looks like a shiny tc-colored marble. Maybe just a smidgen of texture or...
