Re: Expanding Orcish History
Yeah, I've not gotten into UMCs that much, so I don't know Founding of Borstep, it would probably make my story untenable, but so far it isn't canon...overall it seems the orcs only work with the undead as they offer new lands to pillage and sources of food. One aspect of Orcs that seems interesting...

Re: Ascension
I got rid of the language line, that made the system happy and I could upload it, thanks so much! Not sure why it accepted it before but not now, but it's good now, now to start revamping for real, and probably renaming the campagn itself...

Re: Ascension
I rewrote the description: description= _ "The orcish homeland is gripped in a spiral of blood feuds and revenge raiding. Can a mysterious stranger's offer of new lands to conquer allow the orc Brurbar to bring renewed glory and power to the ragged orcish clans?" the exact same error messa...

Re: Expanding Orcish History
Interesting detail, if I do revise my campaign describing the second orcish invasion not sure if I should try including this, or if it would just distract from things…

Re: Ascension
I’ll try writing a different description, I was going to anyway, I was just rather skeptical that could actually be the problem when wesnoth hadn’t cared before…I’ll report back…

Re: Expanding Orcish History
At the end of Winds of Fate some drakes apparently go west to the Green Isle, I have to think they just somehow missed the orcs' second invasion fleet, as if they had met, I'd have to think the orcs might never have reached the continent, or Karron would have been killed, it doesn't state it either ...

Re: The wiki that almost no one notices
One thing I might mention about the timline also, it talks of Dan'Tonk being founded after the orcs plunder the coastline. After the events of Winds of Fate, it would seem the coast was getting slammed constantly by drakes well before the orcs were heading south, so maybe that part of it will need t...

Re: Ascension
I have some plans to improve some elements of the story, and Brurbar's person especially. It sort of looks like the campaign needs to be re-uploaded with the upgrade to 1.18, so I had to switch it to the 1.18 folder in my own Wesnoth Add-ons, but it gave me this error...I really don't think I've cha...

Re: Expanding Orcish History
Outside of the Ruby in Legend of Wesmere, the orcs have shown zero interest for magical items, it just seems uncharacteristic for them to go to such lengths and distances to attack the Elves unless they had a pressing reason... Indeed I was shocked the first time I played Legend of Wesmere and there...

Re: Expanding Orcish History
A big part of Orcish History that is a big hole: Their takeover of the North, and what ended up happening between them and the Lich Lords. I made a campaign depicting this, so this is my portrayal of events, let me know how reasonable my depiction is: Orcs live in a desolate, barren homeland, over-h...

Re: The wiki that almost no one notices
Im making a bit of a deal out of it as I did a UMC about the orcish invasions, so for me that time period is critical and I need to know how to make everything as accurate as possible.

Re: Expanding Orcish History
One thing never made super clear: were the Wesfolk fleeing orcs or something else? Winds of fate seems to suggest it May have been drakes they were fleeing, I’m unclear if the homeland of the orcs is the old continent of the wesfolk or something else If the orcs aren’t from the same continent as the...

Any idea if there are plans to put in Winds of Fate events into the timeline?

Re: Ascension
I am currently playing through Winds of Fate, for fun and to check for lore issues I may need to fix, so far so good on that front... Once I'm done, a few things I wanted to see about possibly changing: -It seems like I should change the orc-speak to normal language, as seen in Son of the black Eye,...

Re: Wiki Improvements
A comment on the Timeline: I think there is an inconsistency, it states in 12 YW the orcs don't take Wesmere and then attack the humans, then in 20 YW Haldric dies and his son takes his place, and only then does it say that the Legend of Wesmere begins with Kalenz leaving Lintanir with Landar. I fee...
