Ive been playing Wesnoth for about 2 weeks. I have started the campaigns again after getting stuck on level 8. I didnt actually realise you could take units to the next scenarios :? and couldn't make any progress on 8!

I can't get to help the shamans until one of them are dead - and that is on easy level. Replayed it several times and one shaman always die on turn 2 or 3.
It is possible to level Konrad twice in The Elves Besieged, but only in Hard mode. Maybe he should take more experience to level?
I used no save-loading in this replay, although I did have to try several times.
Okay, I have no idea how to win the scenario. If I stay in place, 3 young ogres swoop down on Gweddy and carve him like a hog. If I run around, sooner or later a couple of the Ogres gang up on Owawec, who pounds them into hamburger. Infrequently, for variety, I misposition Dalyn and he dies.
what do i have to do to finish this scenario?
i cross with no problems (on easy), kill the orcs, even the ogre, the oncoming undead have no chance of landing... but i am defeated by the max turn numbers :(
all my troops cross around turn 16.

When you look at a unit, its damage is displayed in the form damage - number of attacks e.g. 5-4 for an Elvish Fighter's melee attack.
