Upgrade to wesnoth at least 3.16 and use 'start of scenario' save.

i play wesnoth 1.4.6.
First time i arrived at round 12 or something untill this happend. So i started again.
After 4 rounds Kaleh just says "too many of our people are dead. The undead will kill us all. Its over" (i play german version, so i tried to translat) and then its over.
Why does that happen? I did not loose any of my troops in this scenario.
In fact just 6 or something in the whole campaign.
An explanation would be great.

Thanks in forward.

I'm playing UTBS in 1.5.8 and encountered a problem in "A Stirring in the Night". When Garak (sp?) gets blessed his attacks change from a regular sword and bow to just a special sword. On the right-hand side description under his sword attack it says fire damage, berserk, magical and firststrike, but it's neither magical (only 40% to hit when I attack skellies in a castle) nor berserk (just the 4 attacks). It does deal fire damage though.

Edit: Ah, ok.

All that special stuff works only against the two champions (or maybe against the leaders too, I don't remember). But sure, it's a bit confusing as it is.

A bug! :O

Okay, so here is the order of events:

I kill the top champion early on (not with garak).
Later, I kill the bottom champion (again, not with garak).
Orcs spawn.
I kill bottom undead leader.

Suddenly, the scenario is over. Here is the order of text I got:

"Zomg, you killed me, now I will assume a form greater than you can imagine!"/"I'll teach you to interfere in our contest!"

Orcs suddenly retreat because night is almost over/You spot the dawn coming.

Then..."That was a very brave thing you did, Kaleh, defeating -both those undead leaders-" + accompanying text from both undead leaders as if they were bested. And they kill garak.

Whaaat?

I got Garak leveled up, and he lost Berserk.
And yep, I didn't even figure out from the text that Berserk will work only against champions/leaders.

(1) What difficulty levels and game versions have you played the scenario on?
1.6.4, easiest difficulty setting

(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)
6, had to restart once as the unexpected orcs reached my keep

(3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives?
I had no idea how many turns until dawn, everything else was clear.

(4) How clear and interesting did you find the dialog and storyline of the scenario?
Fine.

(5) What were your major challenges in meeting the objectives of the scenario?
Once you had an good idea whats going on it wasn't very hard. The bats proved to be annoying sniping my wounded units in packs of 2-3 but its good the way it is.

(6) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)
7, good thing you got those magic weapons

(7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun?
I like it the way it is.

Kind of funny: the walking corpse that spawned as an ghost reached one of my villages did so under my control. I used it to get an army of revived bats, arguably one of the best WC-variants you can spawn at all. You can even recall them later. I dont think its intended that way. ;)

Well, whenever an undead captures one of your villages a walking corpse/soulless one is spawned.
It will however spawn under your control and if you manage to keep it alive (and probably lasthit to spawn some more) you are free to recall it/them in the following scenarios. Which doesn't make sense I'd say.

Okay, fixed for 1.6.5 and 1.7.5.
Thank you for the report.
