Re: Unit Art Feedback
the images looks quite good! some feedback, though:
-why is the normal exorcist a skeleton, while the rest are a consistent skeleton/wose hybrid? I think the skeleton (normal exorcist) doesn't fit in with the rest of the line.
-I think it would be a good idea to make the units' skulls more brown, to better fit in with the tree part.
-btw, it would be nice to know more about the general concept of the units.

Re: Unit Art Feedback
The idea behind the unit line is, that a spirit of a Wizard/Mage/Necromancer manifested in a skeleton. Due to decomposition, they replace nonfuctional parts with more wood/plant material up to the point, where they integrate fully into the nature (turning into a tree).
Maybe I should make the normal Exorcist a bit more... treeish.
Thank you for the feedback. I'll try improving it.
I present to you another line of units: The Soul mages!
Based on the Idea that they manipulate the soul itself (to reach immortality).

Re: Unit Art Feedback
Interesting idea, though I think having them use the bones of other humans/creatures would be a more realistic approach. maybe this could be an alternative advancements branch for exorcist...Devotation wrote:The idea behind the unit line is, that a spirit of a Wizard/Mage/Necromancer manifested in a skeleton. Looks quite good! some suggestions, though:Devotation wrote:I present to you another line of units: The Soul mages!
-I think Soul Twister needs more teamcolor (Soul Apprentice has a lot more)
-I think it would be a good idea to make Soul Warrior have a glowing sword, instead of a normal one. Also, to make him stand out, maybe give him a bit of armor?
-I think it would look good if Soul Master had something like floating flames near his hands.

Yeah, I am currently working on it. The Basic idea is that these soul mages want to become immortal no matter the cost, so they start manipulating nature, other races and themselves. The whole addon is based around that idea.
No cost too great.

Devotations Art thread.
Hello there, I created some more units:
From left to right: Failed Experiment, Manifested Thought, Trapped Idea, Tortured Mind, Lost Hope, Last Memory.
Still one unit missing.
Also, I found some sprites I made a while ago.
You are allowed to use them however you want.

Re: Unit Art Feedback
Hmm, i could use those as zombie and soulless faeries as they currently not have any undead variation.Devotation wrote:Thank you. I may come back to that.ForestDragon wrote:interesting concept. If you need help with WML, you can ask me.

I "lend" them from the files of the golden Age era and "soulified" them. Use them to your desire.

I released the first build of that faction. Avaiable on your nearest 1.13.11 addon server, called "The Soul's Order"
