Frequent crashes
Hi there.
First off want to say how much I love this game, and the community of great people involved around it.
Recently downloaded the HD version (1.14.12) for my gen 1 iPad Pro running iPadOS 13.4
I get random crashes, from what I can tell when the screen is scrolling. It can crash if I’m scrolling the screen with either my finger, using a connected Magic Mouse, or even crash during the enemy's turn when the screen moves to the next piece. I’m pretty sure it’s always while the screen is scrolling. I’ll keep playing (love this game!) and see if I can notice anything else that triggers it.
Sometimes it’s fine for hours, and sometimes it crashes 4 times in 30 minutes.
Let me know if you can suggest anything to try.
J.

Re: Frequent crashes
Hi,
Thanks for the kind words and welcome to the forums!
One thing to try to fix crashes is to clear a cache, in Preferences - General.
Any iPad Pro is powerful enough to run all the features of Wesnoth, but older models like iPad 2 (made in 2011) benefit if you turn off water animation - that's the most intensive part; or maybe all map animations at all.
