The game file save. Couldn't figure out how to get forum to upload two files in one message.

It's probably related to OneDrive:
Release Notes wrote: OneDrive can interfere with Wesnoth’s user config/data directory set-up, leading to all kinds of different manifestations of the issue. There’s no fix available yet. The recommendation for the time being is to avoid syncing the Wesnoth user directory with OneDrive.

Note that the crash seems to be reproducible even on Linux. (I guess it's possible that the save file might have been corrupted in some way by OneDrive - but even if that's the case, that ideally should not cause Wesnoth to crash.)

Crash occurs at the same point in gameplay, during the bad guy's turn (I think maybe right at the end). I don't see the problem with any save file but this one. It started happening a turn or before the save file's recorded place, but it wasn't reliably recreatable until this save file. The pattern of the crash is timed to the game play.

Problem also occurs (same symptoms) during the last scenario of Tale of Two Brothers. Again, it happens at the end of the other side's turn(s) before the start of mine.

If you don't play in full screen, does the crash happen?

Yes and no...If I fiddle with the full screen option, it *might* happen. but once it happens, it can be reliably repeated at that same place in the game play, ie, reload from last auto save, do your turn (or not) and hit End Turn. If it crashed on that turn before, it will again; all crashes that I have seen occur apparently near or at end of all sides' turns.
Note that I am not certain it's full screen related, it's just that's what I was tinkering with right before the crashes started happening. Was experimenting with the apparent "inversion" of full screen - wherein Wesnoth has a non-fullscreen window that happens to be the exact size of the screen AND has the Windows title bar with the Windows "switch to non-fullscreen" button showing. Can't get the "inversion" to happen repeatably, so I didn't report it earlier.
I'm sorry this has been a problem to reproduce. If you have other more important bugs to work on, I'd understand it if you closed this one.
