Fire

Post by Monroid »

I live in Brazil and you guys know how euphoric people are here witch soccer, but the roof of a barbecue tent (I don't know how to translate it to english, but it's like a hut-like tent with a brick-made barbecue inside) in someone's property some blocks away from my house is on fire (the roof of it is made of dry palm leaves)

People say it's because of the fireworks...

Yeah... handle with care, I guess? :?

Unfortunate to hear. It's been a few days, so did the fire spread, or did it just complicate the poor fella's barbecue? Did the smoke smell good?

As for what we would call that in english, it would depend on the tent's function. If it just covered the barbecue pit up and/or provided a work area for the cook, we'd call it a barbecue tent. If it were enclosed, so that meat could be hung and it functioned as an oven, we'd call it a smoke tent or a smoke house.
