Potrait of sprite
is it possible to have a list of official game sprites that do not have portraits?
Re: Potrait of sprite
do you refer to mainline sprites?
currently Dunefolk is lacking portraits. They only a single one (a very good one) done by Sleepwalker in this thread.
There is also big re-work currently happening for mainline dunefolk. So any portrait for dunefolks would come in handy.

Using wmlparser3 and jq:
This doesn't cover campaign-specific units such as the Dwarvish Witness line in THoT.

Some units, like the Shock Trooper and Iron Mauler, also reuse the same portrait.

Re: Potrait of sprite
i think this is a good start.
i dont know how much time you invested in this using your technique, but the shield definitely needs resizing and the mace looks a bit oversized as well.
but again, looks like a good start.

Re: Potrait of sprite
Shields need rotating and twisting. Look into how they are carried - a regular kite shield (that's what it looks like) is strapped to the arm, so it will move and rotate with it
Light travels much faster than sound, that's why some people seem bright until you hear them speak.

Re: Potrait of sprite
A shield held like that would most likely be very impractical, as it could swing around the hand holding it relatively freely, and would do so if struck by a weapon. With most common shields, the "handle" is not exactly in the middle but a little more to the side opposite the one the arm is coming from, being supplemented by an additional strap fastening the shield at the lower arm. This way, the warrior has more control over the shield, and it cannot be pulled aside by an enemy so easily, or wobble around.
Re: Potrait of sprite
The shield is of an extraterrestrial metal, hard as a diamond, light as a Feather, and for this it was made with that handle for a Top maneuverability, think, you can even use it as a weapon!

Re: Potrait of sprite
Maneuverability is worth little if it means having no control.
Anyway, even if such a shield can be used effecticely, it is still quite unusual, and still looks somewhat weird in the actual image.
