Everything is so small / Map Zoom

Hello, i dropped in recently to play BFW, but everything is so small. i can almost see the whole map.

if i use the zoom map key, everything just gets smaller

resolution cannot be chaned in FU screen mode, and if not using FS, the window- just gets smaller, if i then drag it bigger, the resolution changes again, so the units are small af and the game cannot be enjoyed, its kinda unplayable

i read a bit in the forum about "scaling" but cannot find a key like that in the options
(im using 1.16.9)

anyway it cant be you guys dont use modern monitors with high reolutions and iam the only one with this issue, right?

any solution that works wesnoth-related is appreciated

In 1.17 there's a scaling option, however it doesn't allow fractional scaling (ie: 1.5x).

Edit this line on this file:

zoom_levels = 0.25, 0.33333333333333333, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.25, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 10.0

You will have a greater range of zooms, above and below. This only affects the vision of the battlefield itself, not the UI. To scale the UI you have to do what Pentarctagon says in 1.17.

thank you. i added the line, but i completely forgot about zooming in and out anyways, so this helped a lot.

My map shrank too and now the game is unplayable
