Later those units get put onto the recall list of the side, and a few turns later the AI starts recalling those units.  (The side is originally human controlled, but I don’t think that matters.)
20150525 14:15:42< mattsc> In the replay, those units have a different underlying_id (and therefore id) when they get created, and thus the replay goes OOS (trying to recall a non-existent unit).
20150525 14:17:03< mattsc> As far as I can tell, what I am doing there is entirely legitimate WML use, so I would consider this an engine bug.
20150525 14:17:41< mattsc> I also don’t think that there is anything I can do to make this work if I want the AI to recall those units (other than maybe writing my own recalling units event in WML).
