In my case, the fact that setting a variable to toe value "true" doesn't then equal "true" (https://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=45050&p=608191#p608158) bit me. This was, admittedly, fixed by using `boolean_equals` like I should have rather than `equals`, but the behavior itself is, imo, 20170626 05:42:23< wesnoth-discord-> entirely unexpected. It is then further inconsistent, since I can't use `yes` as a boolean value in lua, since it gives an error "variable 'yes' must be assigned before being used", I need to in this case use `true`.
