Faerie fire? I don't think so. I was mean that in revised The South Guard Mal M'brin was changed from ancient lich into special unit with faerie fire attack to show he's an elf. From obvious reasons it's incompatible.

Re: Expanding The Great Continent - [Dunefolk Habitat]

Given that the work on the south opens up new possibilities are there plans to put any new races there besides Dunefolk? If so, from myself I would suggest a line of minotaurs.

Re: Zombies

Shouldn't the portrait of saurian corpse be rather more white then green/blue? After death when vital functions disappear and the heart stops beating the skin loses its color.

Re: A grand design for singleplayer mainline lore

Since they will be just another evil entity. I don't know why you're assuming that anything is "just another evil entity". Orcs are clearly not evil, as seen by Son of the Black Eye. Undead are really more chaotic neutral than evil in Wesnoth, as seen in the two undead campaigns (and prob...

Re: A grand design for singleplayer mainline lore

What we need for Rise of Wesnoth is not adding demons but improve the current story by adding more lich lords and Wesfolk sorcerers as enemies and not just orcs like now, maybe even make wesfolk new race in race (like Dunefolk but just for this campaining).

According to already existing campainings about demons like IftU they were literally summoned.

Re: A grand design for singleplayer mainline lore

I agree about this. Why do we need Demons in Wesnoth, and making them the center of events? The beauty of Wesnoth was in its individual but connected stories, where no one was a world-saving hero, but each story was interesting and contributed to building the world as a whole. We don't need an MCU ...

Re: Possible changes iin characters of Northern Rebirth

Some of these are valid but some are a bit stupid.... Why remove the lich brothers? They play a very large part... Their presence is not needed there since we play the "good side" while liches are evil from nature. I wouldn't say they have that great role, a they only bring gryphons which...

Possible changes iin characters of Northern Rebirth

Lately some users publicated critical analises of some fragments of plot in Northern Rebirth. Taking this into account I propose to release new version. My main propositions: - changing characters of Krash, Starlag, Hamel, Hidel, Sisal, Zlex, Tallin, Eryssa, Malifor, Rankhas, Al'Tar - removal of Cam...

Re: Saurian Mainline Canon and Info ?

Hmmm, I feel like the lore behind it is that the Saurians are enslaved by these bad guys. There is only one mainline example of this though, so I am not entirely sure... otherwise its just that chaotic=bad >:( Saurians became close allies to orcs after death of Shek'Kahan at least until denstructio...

Another a bit frustrating thing is total removal of one of rare in mainline examples of human-troll cooperation. In TSG was very well written and I liked it a lot.
