Summarizing:

Coming back to Dune Guardian I can see that you have added a new level and features. Cool, I only have small fixes. At level 4 you could increase the attack to 17 and add initiative. Compared to the Sultan the unit fares poorly after all. Of course, it is not that they are equally strong, but it is difficult to indicate which is better. In my opinion now Sultan and his markman blade and slow impact "are better and appear from the very beginning, and dune guardian only gets stronger at level 5. In addition, I would suggest increasing defense from level 4 for Dune Guardian by 10 % on impact, cold and fire.

For Elvish Battle Druid I would increase the melee attack from level 4 to 6x4 and to level 5 to 8x4 and would add it as a magic attack. I would do a wand attack at 17x3 on level 4 and 20x3 on level 5 and add the skill explosive. For this I would equate the resistances of Elvish Enchantress and Elvish Battle Druid.

I would make one unit with Brigand. I'd go towards Renegade Horseman and add 14x1 javelin and 17x1. For this, from the 3rd level I would add skirmisher or poison or some other good skill. I think that would make you want to play this unit.

I would also add level 3 healing for all lizards.

What do you think about it? :D

Good suggestion! :) Its also worth noting that the Dune line will look slightly different in 1.15. Here is a link, I still think your change is good in 1.15 as well. (with a buff to the lvl 5 also).

There isn't currently a level 5 Battle Druid?

Sounds like a good proposal. :)
I would also add level 3 healing for all lizards.
I kind of hesitate to give healing to the Saurians, but I will think about it more. :D :D

I made a mistake. Of course, it was about the 3rd and 4th level, but when I think about it, the damage was too high. On level 3, attack with a 12x3 wand, on level 4 15x3, and on level 5 (if you do) 18x3. When it comes to melee attacks, it's 6x4, 8x4 and 9x4 respectively. Damage a bit lower than Elvish Hierophant but Elvish Battle Druid has explosive. I think it's a good balance.

As for the new Dune Guardian, I think that it should not be changed. Sultan has a typical kill attack and slowing down stronger unit. However, weakening the spear and adding a medium shield breaks this unit in my opinion. It is not known what to attack. And logic, why attack with a shield if you have a spear? In my opinion, a spear should not be weakened in favor of a shield. I would leave spear and not add a shield.

What do you think?

Yep that sounds good. :)

The problem actually is that the new unit line for the Dune Spearman (from level 1) has been changed. The whole line now carries a shield. And while that can be debated whether it is a good idea (and in all fairness I am probably a good person to blame having reconstructed most of the new DF balances haha ;) ) but it is now that way in mainline so I dont want it to lose its shield when it gets to level 4. What do you think? :)

If the shield has to stay, I would weaken the shield in favor of a spear. Put it together with the attacks of the "Sultan" 13x5 sword (marksman blade) and 15x3 shields (slow). I would have gone the same way, x3 strong spear attack and x2 weaker shield attack with slow.

What do you think? :)

Okay I will have a look at that when I get a chance! :) That sounds reasonable. I in general don't try to buff units that don't go to lvl 5 too highly, but as it turns out specialist units usually are more powerful anyway so that should be good.

I have made the wand 12-2 (because it has explosive specialty so damages all adjacent units with 1/3 the damage) and I think that merits some reduction in ranged attack (which is currently 19-2 which seems quite alot with magical). I also upped the melee damage instead of 8-4 to 6-6 (similar damage but less like a swordsman and more like a duelist). Because it deals less each hit I think it is equivalently good to the 8-4. I also think the more attacks fits with the thematics of the unit better.

So now it looks like:

6-6 melee
12-2 melee (explosive magical)
17-2 ranged (magical)

Vs. Elvish Enchantress

6-2 melee
5-4 ranged (slows)
9-4 ranged (magical)

I think Battle Druid is different but still definitely better at face value. (maybe ranged should be 16-2 or melee 6-5?)

Hmmm, I see what your proposing, and in all fairness it makes a lot of sense. Why would a shield be a powerful weapon?? But the reason is actually because the DF didn't have enough genuinely good impact units. To be honest weaker shield with slow would be a good idea and likely even more useful then it is currently, but it may make it too powerful (considering slow is quite good) and it might also make it too similar to the new Blademaster line which has x3 attack primary weapon (15-3) and x2 attack secondary weapon with a specialty (marksman).

In my opinion Elvish Battle Druid looks bad compared to Elvish Enchantress, not to mention the next level of Elvish Sylph. The number of attacks is very low, which discourages you from choosing this path of development, even despite additional skills. I think what I wrote earlier would be good for x3 attacks. Just do it so that it pays off to choose this path of development. Nowadays, I would always choose Elvish Enchantress.

As for the Dune Guardian's development path, it's the same request. Make it profitable to go one way or the other. That each would have its pros and cons. Only then does it make sense.

And above all, act. Because we can talk like this for a few more months :D

Haha acting yes good idea hahah :lol: :lol: okay I will change the battle druid to 3 attacks but put the guardian as before.

EDIT: and I'll let you know what the new outlaw brigand looks like

Maybe it translated wrong. To write faster, I use a translator. I just wanted you to start making corrections. Okay, do that and I will rate the units during the game. I almost forgot about brigand :D I'm glad that you finally took it for him ;)

You did dune guardian as I wrote, I'm happy about it :) Now take care of brigand. Later you can create level 5 ghosts as I think they have a lot of potential.

Hey! I'm new here, but I really like the Reign of the Lords mod and I can't seem to get it to work. I play only SP so from what I've been able to find, I need another mod (default unit advancement or something like that) to get the awesome units in SP. Where can I get that other mod? I can't seem to find it.
Sorry for bothering you, but I played with this mod a couple years ago and loved it. I'm getting back into Wesnoth now and I really miss this mod.

Hi ElSalteno! Which version of wesnoth are you using?

For previous versions (1.12/1.10) the modd needed the default unit advancement add-on. For new versions 1.13/1.14/1.15 you should see a checkbox at the bottom of your campaign menu that you can check. When you do the mod will turn on! :D (also thank you for the compliments!)
