4 Nothing I couldn't handle, but lost my first 2nd level unit.
(3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives?
Clear.
(4) How clear and interesting did you find the dialog and storyline of the scenario?
Clear. Not all that interesting.

No
The amount of gold you start with in this scenario means that you are going to lose gold essentially no matter what you do, this is a bit frustrating.

What about choise: give the gold to dwarfs or not and apparently rely on their help later or not.
I understand, this imply some not minor changes, but this will add some branching to gameplay.

3. The only real challenge is killing all the troll warriors without losing any avengers.
(7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun?
Less money from the Saurian treasury. At least that would curb my tendency to over-recruit.

Re: Scenario Review: LoW 6 - Acquaintance in Need
(1) What difficulty levels and what version of Wesnoth have you played the scenario on?
1.8.2, Medium
(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)
2
(3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives?
Clear.
(4) How clear and interesting did you find the dialog and storyline of the scenario?
OK.
(5) What were your major challenges in meeting the objectives of the scenario?
Leveling a Shaman.
Starting this scenario with a good set of loyal units and a buttload of gold, there isn't a real challenge. Recruited both keeps just once (and could have done with less). Blitzed south Orcs and overran them by turn 3, moved Orlurf into their garrison to keep him safe. Split forces - main took over Orlurf's castle and slaughtered orcs from the north while the rest mopped up the trolls. Didn't even lose a unit (with no reloads).
(6) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)
5, though after fighting skirmishing lizards in swamps, a visit to the dentist would seem like fun.
(7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun?
Little more troll muscle would make it challenging and give more shaman leveling opportunities.
(8) Was there any event that caused you to lose the game and forced you to reload or restart the scenario?
No

1.8.1; hard
(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)

(3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives?
Clear.
(4) How clear and interesting did you find the dialog and storyline of the scenario?
Fine.
(5) What were your major challenges in meeting the objectives of the scenario?
XP stealing dwarves. Also, you enter this scenario with a ton of gold, and it's not clear upfront how much you should recruit. (Answer is: not much.)
(6) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)
5. The scenario is too easy and does not fit the rest of this difficult campaign.
(7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun?
I would change the premise to say that Olurf has requested a meeting and that you can come only with a minimal staff. Some should comment, "It's a trap!", while others should say to go, but advise to bring shamen, because it's troll country. Give the player the usual starting units plus three shamen and no keep. Greatly reduce the forces of the enemy. Once the scenario starts, then again someone should comment, "It's a trap!", while Olurf says no, the dwarves need your help.
For the dwarves, I love watching/hearing thundersticks and get bored by berserkers. More thundersticks!
(8) Was there any event that caused you to lose the game and forced you to reload or restart the scenario?
