I think that in the start Konrad would wear an elvish armor because... ¡Konrad lived with the elves! soon i will upload a sketch.
Re: Heir to the Throne: Portraits
There is already an elvish-like armored Konrad (the two lower pictures):

Why would you take your helmet of on battlefield, except for lack of a helmet, ritualistic reasons or suicide? (Although of course, who can talk over the battle field, regardless of the position of the partner?)Guest wrote:Yeah, that's the other thing. After far too long an absence, I have returned.
According to the quiz 100% Silver Mage (85% Archmage, 75% Shyde, 67% Flameheart and Ancient Wose,58% Assassin, Troll Warrior and Berserker). And my top score is exactly how I see myself.

Which seems to suggest that they are talking while not on the battlefield, and as such don't actually need to be wearing their helmets. It all fits together.Drakefriend wrote:Why would you take your helmet of on battlefield, except for lack of a helmet, ritualistic reasons or suicide? Can we please not a conversation that isn't directly related to the art presented in this thread. If we had wanted to present the heroes as helmeted, I'm sure Kitty would have. Please make a new thread for further discussion of this side topic.

Re: Heir to the Throne: Portraits
So... It has been some months but I still plan to finish this series!
I made some minor revisions on Konrad's and Lisar's Portraits and call all 14 of them finished. Next will be two versions of Delfador and a revision of my old Kalenz portrait.
Since I want to keep this efficient I'd appreciate it if a moderator could move this to the art development form - thanks!

Re: Heir to the Throne: Portraits
There's a little inconsistency in the facial structure among all the portraits. In some, he has a longer chin, some shorter, some has chubby cheeks and some a little chiselled. Not considering the peppered bits of budding 'stache, nearly all of these portraits look as if depicting a different person.
Which makes me think that I personally prefer his 'Confused' facial characteristics more XD IMO, the rest aren't anywhere near 'handsome' or, well, 'princely-looking'. Iunno, might be me alone with the idea that a generic protagonist prince is a handsome prince. XD (I blame disney)

Re: Heir to the Throne: Portraits
It may not be efficient, but somebody needs to say: Fantastic!
I love the little touches, particularly the fact that the scepter has a slightly different character depending on who is holding it. When you finish, I will definitely replay the campaign to enjoy the new artwork in place.

Re: Heir to the Throne: Portraits
Unfortunately one peanut gallery critique slipped in before it got moved here, but I'd just like to counter it by saying how I am fully supportive of kitty's decision to avoid extreme fantasy cliché appearance. These are very, very nice.

Re: Heir to the Throne: Portraits
it's great to have you back, Kitty ! And great to see these finished portraits ! Theyll definitely add a lot of character to the campaign.
Do I need to say that I'm impatient to see your take on Delfador ?

Re: Heir to the Throne: Portraits
So, I started on Delfador...
I can't remeber if Delf had a staff with some kind of special story/appearance or if it should just be a general elder mage kind of staff – I left it blank for this reason just yet. Any input on this question?
Zookeper, we only talked about mentoring and mad versions of Delfador, do you really think we won't need an additional neutral one?
